          Writing is a form to explain , express thoughts on various topics. In all careers writing plays an important role ,and for an emerging chemical engineering it is one of the most important discipline to be proficient in. The course writing for engineers is well thought and planned to help any kind of engineer in a fun-study environment. this course is important for the curriculum as it drills the important styles of professional writing that will not only help succeed in this course but also be a helping hand in future courses. This course is important as it is a complete package of reading, synthesis, collaboration, drafting, learning the ways to cite, consideration of audience, and most importantly use of technology for literacy information. 

      Resume and cover letter are important irrelevant to what career field one is pursuing. This assignment helped me explore my own strengths and weaknesses as the strengths were written in a way that they would catch attention and weaknesses were covered underneath. This assignment also included reading from the textbook to have a better understanding of how to clearly state all the accomplishments. Also, the important part of this assignment was to find a job posting, to fulfill that an Indeed account was created. This account not only helped me find a job posting for the assignment but also introduced me to some internships that interested me . 

       Interviewing some is a delicate process as you have to be polite and not get too personal during the interview. This assignment was a great opportunity to know how it is to be a Chemical Engineer. I interviewed Dr. Richard lieberman and the interview was a great start as it helps to find the suitable profession . Learning about day to day life of a ChemE was interesting as it was my first interaction with a chemical engineer l. Even though this interview was over a skype call it still had that essence of knowing the person and how they became what they are now. In this assignment technology was used as blackboard discussion was used to share questions which everyone thought were sensible. Most of the questions were repeating but some unique questions also came our way during that discussion. 

      As an engineer it is important to know how to write good lab reports, and in this course we learnt the format of a lab report. This wasn’t my first time writing a lab report but definitely a different experience. As till now i wrote lab reports of the experiments related to our academia. But this time lab report included not only the experimental aspect but also researching using CCNY library databases. This assignment also helped in learning how to use those databases and also synthesis of different scholarly articles to write your own report.Also, citations were written for all the sources used.Technology played an important role as used excel to create a spreadsheet and create graphs. Another technology element that I added to this assignment was using an app to roll dices rather than manually rolling them.  

     The proposal was focused on getting a tech center at grove school of engineering which could be used by all students irrelevant to their major. Our team comprised of I, Arlind, Mitra, Jasmine. After brainstorming we decided that our proposal would focus on building a tech center. Then thinking of a teach name that would be cool and professional at the same time we cane up with the name “Grove tech”. Also, the name explains the project itself; tech center in grove school. As the project progressed we did survey to see the needs of tech center and excel was used to demonstrate the data to a pi-chart. Also, some research was done for comparison of our tech center to other tech centers to have a better idea of infrastructure. Everyone’s ideas were  collaborated to get a great proposal. After everyone did their writing parts for the final proposal. Jasmine did the drafting and proofreading to eliminate the grammatical errors. Our group also won the public voice award. 

     Writing a technical description had to be a well planned assignment as the first step was to find a topic that I was interested in and as well considering the audience. The topic had to be something that would be of mutual interest of all different kind of engineering students.Next, was to do some preliminary research on the topic to see if there was enough information available on CCNY library databases to research on this topic. this assignment included reading and synthesis of different scholarly articles and also important part was citation of the sources used to avoid plagiarism.

      This course was not only about writing these specific assignments it was definitely more than that. As it included lessons of grammar, using commas, colons, semi-colon which helped in better and clear way of writing. Also, assignments like Interview report, group proposal, technical description had a presentation element to it using powerpoint to make presentations and use them as visual aid during the oral presentation. 

 Writing this made me feel all the emotions that i felt during doing these assignments from being excited to do the interview to being little nervous while presenting. This class was a complete package of learning with experience and one of the best courses i took this semester. I hope to take all what i learnt to succeed in future courses and and to fulfill my career goals.
